Adding Collagen to Your Diet

I love Vital Proteins. This is probably the number one thing I recommend. I’ve been using their collagen peptides for a while now as a protein source in just about anything. That’s because it’s completely tasteless when mixed. It’s an easy way to get protein in throughout the day without chugging down chalky (and chemical-filled) shakes. But, even better, Vital Proteins has done wonders for my hair, skin, and nails!

Healthy hair follicles, once they get the nutrients that they need, will grow faster! The healthier your hair is, the less likely you are to have split ends and breakage. I used to be plagued with cutting inches of the dead hair off at each hair appointment, but since I started using Vital Proteins, my hair has been so much softer and healthy!

The best part about the Vital Proteins collagen peptides is that it dissolves tastelessly in just about everything. I will say that I think it gives plain water a slight taste, but my personal favorite is to blend it into my smoothies or my morning coffee. You never taste a thing! There is literally nothing worse than finishing a workout or long run and trying to choke down some thick disgusting protein shake.

I personally prefer the unflavored proteins over all the other flavors, but they do have some other options, such as Vanilla & Matcha Collagen Peptides (these are awesome if you’re making lattes!)
